How many Backup cards can be attached to a character? Only one backup card can be attached to a character at a time.

Can I use action cards immediately after buying from the marketplace? Cards you purchase from the marketplace go into one of your two Pouch slots. They cannot be used until your next turn and thereafter, and you do not need to use AP to play them.

Can I have more than 2 Action Cards in my pouch? You can have up to two cards in your pouch, and you cannot swap action cards out. They have to be used up in order to free space for another card to be purchased from the market.

Turn Sequence FAQ's

During the initial  'Blind Reveal' of the game, what happens if someone plays a character, such as Joshua, whose ability reads 'When Revealed'? Do all the abilities of the characters take place at once or in turn order of players?

For the Blind Reveal, the ability of a character comes into play in play order. In most cases, the youngest player would go first so their character's abilities would occur.

Recruitment Line

Can I attack with a recruited character?

When a character is recruited, they are brought to your battle line in the exhausted state and have to wait until the next turn to attack unless otherwise stated by the card's ability.

If you have four characters already on your battle line, can you recruit a character to replace one?

No, you cannot. Otherwise, you would easily be able to prevent an opponent from defeating one of your characters to gain their honor.

No one is recruiting characters or buying action cards, can I replace them with new ones?

Although not an official rule,  a house rule could be for someone to pay 3 AP to replace either lineup of cards.

If a character is recruited and their ability starts with 'When Revealed:', when does the proceeding effect occur?

The ability of the recruited character occurs the following turn when it becomes readied.
